We are always looking for ways to support the youth who attend our ministries, especially in furthering their education in any way we can. We were recently presented with an excellent opportunity to offer some of our youth.
A 4-year program in Scriptural studies is offered at the San Jerónimo Biblical Institute (IBSJ) in Juárez, Mexico. Located within the facilities of the Conciliar Seminary of Ciudad Juárez, students who attend and complete their thesis will graduate with a diploma issued by the Pontifical Mexican University. This will open doors for them in their future career paths. Usually, only adults enroll in this school, but the Institute offered to open space to some of our youth from the very impoverished area where we work.

It is a rigorous program requiring commitment and dedication, but we encouraged the teens that we presented the opportunity to count on our help and support. “You do not walk alone. We will make this journey together.”
Eight young men and women agreed and signed up. As we toured the impressive campus, some of them expressed feeling overwhelmed and intimidated, but also encouraged and excited about the potential education they would be receiving. We were not sure how we would obtain the financial aid needed, since none of the families of these kids could afford it.
We need not have worried. Within days of taking the leap of faith to enroll them, all eight young people were awarded full scholarships – scholarships funded by teachers and students from the Institute itself who had learned about our youth’s desire to attend.

With deep joy and gratitude to God, our students embarked upon this educational endeavor, starting classes last month. We ask God for the grace of perseverance for them and ask that you pray for them as well.
