Montessori Kindergarten graduation

June is a month for graduations, and we were delighted to celebrate the graduation of our Montessori kindergarten class. The kids grew and learned a great deal over the past school year, and our teachers and guides did a wonderful job of instilling valuable principles using the methods Maria Montessori taught.

As you may know, Montessori education is a child-centered approach that emphasizes independence, hands-on learning, and respect for a child’s natural development. It encourages children to learn at their own pace through exploration and discovery in a carefully prepared environment.

Over the years, we have both purchased and received numerous donations of Montessori materials, which the teachers have used to create spaces where the children have freedom to learn and interact. We watched as the kids grew in confidence and concentration throughout the year. Our hope is that by teaching young ones with these Montessori methods, we instill in them a lifelong love of learning.

After the “official” graduation, and to continue the celebration, we gathered at a kids’ pool for a picnic and swimming with the children and their families. Everyone had a great time, and it was the perfect way to close out a wonderful year.
