Truth Series #1

This is the first teaching in a series that Fr. Rick Thomas, S.J. gave on the truth.

He explains how Jesus deals in the truth, while the enemy deals in falsehoods and lies. The truth is frequently painful. Jesus speaks the truth, and frequently His Word is painful. It’s not what we want to hear.

Satan is on the side of lies and falsehood. If you deal in lies, after a while your mind becomes so distorted that you can’t tell the difference between truth and falsehood anymore. When we deceive others, we begin the process of deceiving ourselves.

Anytime we are dishonest or false, it’s a point for Satan. He wins.

Jesus’ strategy is truth in the mind, truth in the mouth, truth in the body.
