blood pressure cuffA man wrote, “I’ve been involved in sports for almost 33 years as a professional wrestler, so I didn’t pay attention to my bodily aches and pains, thinking it was just tiredness from so much activity. But not too long ago I began feeling worse.

“I went to a doctor and he told me that I had high blood pressure and gave me some medicine. He made another appointment for me and again my blood pressure was high, so he ordered a chest x-ray. When I went back for the results, he told me I had an enlarged heart. I asked him what I could do to get it to return to normal size, but he said my heart would never be its normal size. He gave me medication that I would have to take for the rest of my life.

“I left there and told my wife, ‘Well, the doctor has said one thing, but the Lord has something else for me.’ I remembered what Father Thomas taught us about praying with faith. I began praying with a lot of faith.

“I returned to the doctor and when he took my blood pressure, it had dropped down to normal. So he sent me to a cardiologist, and the cardiologist had more tests done. When I returned to him, he told me there was nothing wrong with my heart, that I was healthy, with nothing abnormal.

“Thanks be to God! Thank you Father Thomas for all that you taught us!”
