The city of Juarez, Mexico, has a long history of violence and bloodshed. After a recent outbreak of killings, our community gathered for a time of prayer. We divided into small groups – some praying the Rosary, some singing praises to God, another group reading Scripture. The theme of the gathering was “A Journey to Peace.”

We prayed for all those who have died as a result of violence, for the families that grieve their lost loved ones, for people in law enforcement and in positions of authority.
1 Timothy 2:1-3 says, “First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for everyone, for kings and all who are in high positions, so that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and dignity. This is right and is acceptable in the sight of God our Savior…”,

Please join us in praying for peace – in all of our cities and in the world.
